‘Wake up Europe, Sarajevo Calling’ Workshop

projectvarchitecture were invited to participate in the Memory Lab Spring 2017 Workshop ‘Wake up Europe, Sarajevo calling’.
The workshop was based around the ‘Besieged Sarajevo’ permanent exhibition at the History Museum of BiH and involved world renowned Museum curators and memory experts. The workshop was set over three days and participants worked together in small focus groups around specific topics and larger groups for discussions and feedback. The aim of the workshop was to discuss the current exhibition which has been relatively unchanged for four years, and whether it needed to be updated and expanded in the current context, both locally and globally. projectvarchitecture were invited to be both architectural consultants for the exhibition, and also to discuss this in the broader framework of their Living Memorials research and approach to the Siege of Sarajevo.
